The American administration, set up in 1962, which although primarily set up for space exploration, including manned space flight, it was also responsible for the launch of all the early experimental Communications Satellites. Following the successful trials, it also launched resulting commercial satellites for the Intelsat Consortium. Satellites were launched from NASA's Cape Canaveral Launch Site (later renamed the Kennedy Space Centre) in Florida, USA.
